Andrew Leach obtained his PhD from the University of Cambridge, UK in the group of Professor S. V. Ley. Subsequently, he received a Fulbright scholarship to study in the group of Professor K. N. Houk at UCLA, investigating pericyclic reactions and enzymatic catalysis.
On returning to the UK, he joined AstraZeneca as a Computational Chemist and worked in the oncology, diabetes and obesity areas. In 2012 he became Lecturer in the school of pharmacy and bimolecular sciences at Liverpool John Moores University and a Director of MedChemica Limited.
In 2019, Andrew joined the Division of Pharmacy and Optometry at the University of Manchester.
His interests include applied quantum mechanics and informatics.
